Empathy for Parents’ Concerns and Worries

There are moments when your child cries loudly, screams, or throws things, and all you wish for, as a parent, is for everything to stop immediately. But when these situations happen over and over again, feelings of worry and helplessness can begin to surface, leaving many parents confused and overwhelmed.
Often, a child’s behavior is misunderstood as being “stubborn” or “disobedient,” when in reality, it may simply be their way of struggling with their emotions. Perhaps what’s needed is not a faster reaction, but a moment to slow down, observe, and truly understand.
That is also the reason SEEC Online Seminar #02 was created—as a trusted space for parents to find clarity, better understand their child, and learn how to support them in a more appropriate and meaningful way.
SEEC Online Seminar #02 – Supporting Parents on the Journey to Understanding Their Little Babies

The seminar is designed to help parents approach children’s behaviors from a more empathetic and scientific perspective—not just focusing on “correcting behavior,” but on understanding the child from within.
Through this session, parents will have the opportunity to:
- Approach your child’s behavior with empathy, rather than focusing solely on correction
- Understand the needs and emotions behind each behavior
- Recognize your own responses and how they impact your child
- Learn how to be present with and support your child during emotional outbursts
- Learn how to guide your child appropriately once they have calmed down
- Gradually build a foundation that supports your child’s long-term emotional regulation
Key insights of the Seminar:

- The session will focus on questions that many parents are concerned about:
- Is my child being “naughty,” or are they struggling?
- Why do children display behaviors such as screaming, tantrums, or anger outbursts?
- Common underlying causes behind children’s behaviors
- How to “read” and accurately understand your child’s behavior
- What should parents do when their child is having an emotional outburst?
- How to stay with your child without judgment or withdrawal
- The right timing and approach to guide your child afterward
- Foundational factors that influence behavior
- What parents should and should not do throughout the journey of supporting their child

According to Ms. Dung Vu: “Behavior is not the problem—it is a message waiting to be understood.” When adults understand what a child is trying to express, true support and meaningful guidance can truly begin.
SEEC believes that every child’s behavior has a reason behind it. And every child deserves to be heard and understood – rather than having their emotions suppressed. SEEC hopes this seminar will be a gentle touchpoint, helping parents better understand their child, and also themselves, on the journey of supporting their child.
