#MeetTheTeacherAtSEEC | Meet the educator who insightfully understands a child’s world at Special Em’s

In special education, every child has their own way of learning, communicating, and developing. To support meaningful progress, educators need not only professional expertise but also patience, flexibility, and strong observation skills to understand what each child truly needs.
With 5 years of experience in special education, Ms. Nguyen Xuan Nhi is currently an Individual Intervention Teacher at Special Em’s Education Center (SEEC). She holds a degree in Special Education from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and has experience working with children aged 3–8, including children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, ADHD, and language and behavioral difficulties.

Ms. Nhi’s areas of expertise focus on early intervention and school readiness, helping children build essential foundations for learning, communication, and adapting to the school environment. She has been trained in and applies a range of intervention approaches and tools, including AAC, DTT, PECS, TEACCH, and Intensive Interaction, along with knowledge of screening, assessment, intervention, and transition planning for children with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
For Ms. Nhi, patience and compassion are essential to supporting children. She pays close attention to children’s behaviors from multiple perspectives to better understand their underlying needs and identify appropriate ways to interact and respond. In her view, even small changes in how adults communicate and respond to children can make a meaningful difference in their development.

One of the things that keeps Ms. Nhi committed to her work is witnessing children grow through each stage of their journey—especially the moment when they complete their intervention program and are ready to transition into an inclusive learning environment. For her, this is not only an important milestone for the child but also the result of the perseverance and collaboration of the child, family, and teaching team throughout the journey.
At Special Em’s, Ms. Nhi continues to build on her strengths in individual intervention, early intervention, and school readiness, combining discipline, patience, and flexibility to create activities tailored to each child’s needs. With dedication and professionalism, she strives to help every child develop essential skills, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward their learning and inclusion journey.
